Assessment

Assessment tasks will be designed to reinforce and extend knowledge and skill competence within set and controlled parameters in accordance with each unit's learning outcomes and performance criteria requirements, including the setting of work based practical application tasks designed to provide evidence of competence outcomes, within periodic and scheduled timelines. Students will be expected to demonstrate the following required skills: - collecting and analysing relevant information; - writing fiction material using correct style, grammar, proof correction and revisions; - applying appropriate techniques to a range of fiction writing tasks; - applying creative thinking applicable to fiction writings, and; - developing and using imagination, personal experience and observation to furnish material for the fictionStudents will also be expected to demonstrate the following knowledge: - historical and contemporary writing contexts, and; - a range of fiction writing techniques, forms and styles
