Assessment

Assessment tasks will be designed to reinforce and extend knowledge and skill competence within set and controlled parameters in accordance with each unit's learning outcomes and performance criteria requirements, including the setting of work based practical application tasks designed to provide evidence of competence outcomes, within periodic and scheduled timelines. Students will be expected to demonstrate the following required skills and knowledge: - principles of sustainability; - problems in a sustainable world; - sustainability principles; - addressing the problem of global warming; - greenhouse gas emissions profile; - understanding and communicating climate change and its impacts; - partnerships for greenhouse action; - efficient and sustainable energy use and supply; - efficient transport and sustainable urban planning; - greenhouse sinks and sustainable land management; - models of greenhouse best practice in industrial processes and waste management, and; - adaptation to climate change.
