Assessment

Assessment tasks will be designed to reinforce and extend knowledge and skill competence within set and controlled parameters in accordance with each unit's learning outcomes and performance criteria requirements, including the setting of work based practical application tasks designed to provide evidence of competence outcomes, within periodic and scheduled timelines. Students will be expected to demonstrate the following required skills: - write content for web pages that recognises cultural differences and diversity, in developing website content; - upload content for a website, and; - remove content on a website. Note: If a specific volume or frequency is not stated, then evidence must be provided at least once.Students will also be expected to demonstrate the following knowledge: - outline content features, including clarity, ease of viewing and readability; - explain copyright and intellectual property legislation, relating to web page content; - summarise the document design, web design and usability; - discuss the functions and features of: micro-content elements, such as headings, highlighted words and link text, and style guides, such as cascading style sheets (CSS); - explain the information architecture; - summarise the instructional design principles; - outline the obligations of merchants and service providers; - outline the organisational requirements relating to web page content and user diversity, and; - explain privacy requirements relating to web page content.
