Assessment

Assessment tasks will be designed to reinforce and extend knowledge and skill competence within set and controlled parameters in accordance with each unit's learning outcomes and performance criteria requirements, including the setting of work based practical application tasks designed to provide evidence of competence outcomes, within periodic and scheduled timelines. Students will be expected to demonstrate the following required skills: - determine the requirements for the animation; - design the interactive animations requirements; - create animations for web pages and advertising applications, and; - publish the animations to the web environment.Students will also be expected to demonstrate the following knowledge: - outline web animation programming concepts; - explain programming control structures, object-oriented programming; - summarise internet technology, including selecting the right scripting type to reach a maximum determined audience; - outline the principles of the analysis of web parameters, and the design of suitable animations, for advertisements and website enhancements, and; - explain the methods and attributes of animation, and how it enhances the website to entice buyers.
