Assessment

Assessment tasks will be designed to reinforce and extend knowledge and skill competence within set and controlled parameters in accordance with each unit's learning outcomes and performance criteria requirements, including the setting of work based practical application tasks designed to provide evidence of competence outcomes, within periodic and scheduled timelines. Students will be expected to demonstrate the following required skills: - analyse the client's needs; - undertake research to source the images; - manipulate and produce images for use in website development, to meet the requirements of the brief, and; - save the images in appropriate format.Students will also be expected to demonstrate the following knowledge: - identify and describe, the industry standards and the copyright legislation relevant to digital images; - explain sustainability concepts appropriate to the ICT industry; - describe digital image formats and their application, and; - identify and summarise, common digital image editing software.
