Assessment tasks will be designed to reinforce and extend knowledge and skill competence within set and controlled parameters in accordance with each unit's learning outcomes and performance criteria requirements, including the setting of work based practical application tasks designed to provide evidence of competence outcomes, within periodic and scheduled timelines. Students will be expected to demonstrate the following required skills: - communication skills to interact with clients and staff; - literacy skills to: identify content; interpret standards and industry requirements, and; write content; - research skills to: analyse audience needs, and; identify target audiences, and; - technical skills to: determine appropriate content, formats and styles; and; use word-processing software and multimedia authoring tools.Students will also be expected to demonstrate the following knowledge: - content features, such as clarity and readability; - document design, web design and usability; - functions and features of templates and style guides; - instructional design principles, and; - organisational policies, procedures and standards that cover document design.
