Students are provided with a variety of learning options with which to interact in the unit. Issues around professional Perioperative Nursing and the different contemporary surgical and nursing specialities are explored in detail as students are taken on the patient's surgical journey from the decision to have surgery to the resolution of surgical sequelae. This unit enables students to explore areas of interest as well as building on foundational knowledge. It is designed to be interactive using multimedia as well as providing students with the latest information and resources in contemporary surgical and perioperative nursing trends.
