Assessment tasks will be designed to reinforce and extend knowledge and skill competence within set and controlled parameters in accordance with each unit's learning outcomes and performance criteria requirements, including the setting of work based practical application tasks designed to provide evidence of competence outcomes, within periodic and scheduled timelines. Students will be expected to demonstrate the following required skills: - apply mathematical techniques and methods of calculation; - effectively use office equipment and software to enter data and complete calculations; - check for accuracy of computational results and correct errors where required, and; - record calculation worksheets for future reference and use.Students will also be expected to demonstrate the following knowledge: - Industry-standard techniques and methods to perform routine calculations; - typical computational errors and ways to check for them, and; - key features of equipment and software required to conduct routine financial calculations.
