CPCPRF2022A - Select and install roof sheeting and wall cladding

Assessment tasks will be designed to reinforce and extend knowledge and skill competence within set and controlled parameters in accordance with each unit’s learning outcomes and performance criteria requirements, including the setting of work based practical application tasks designed to provide evidence of competence outcomes, within periodic and scheduled timelines.

Students will be expected to demonstrate the following required skills:

• communication skills to: access information; determine requirements; enable clear and direct communication, using questioning to identify and confirm requirements, share information, listen and understand; follow instructions; report faults; use language and concepts appropriate to cultural differences; use and interpret non-verbal communication, such as hand signals;
• literacy skills to: complete written workplace documentation; document scope of work and work practices; read and interpret: documentation from a variety of sources and plans and specifications;
• numeracy skills to apply measurements and calculations;
• planning and organising skills to plan and set out work;
• teamwork skills to work with others to action tasks and relate to people from a range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds and with varying physical and mental abilities;
• technical skills to: identify and accurately report to appropriate personnel any faults in tools, equipment or materials; select and install non-metallic roof materials associated with metal roofing (excluding roof tiles and slate) and insulation materials, and;
• technology skills to: access and understand site-specific instructions in a variety of media and use mobile communication technology.
