Assessment tasks will be designed to reinforce and extend knowledge and skill competence within set and controlled parameters in accordance with each unit's learning outcomes and performance criteria requirements, including the setting of work based practical application tasks designed to provide evidence of competence outcomes, within periodic and scheduled timelines. Students will be expected to demonstrate the following required skills: - keyboarding and computer skills to complete a range of formatting and layout tasks; - literacy skills to read and understand a variety of texts; to prepare general information and papers according to target audience; and to edit and proofread documents to ensure clarity of meaning and conformity to organisational requirements; - numeracy skills to access and retrieve data, and; - problem-solving skills to determine document design and production processes.Students will also be expected to demonstrate the following knowledge: - appropriate technology for production requirements; - functions and features of contemporary computer applications; - organisational policies, plans and procedures, and; - organisational requirements for document design e.g. style guide.
