This unit directly relates to individual students' sport business organisation or interests. The major project will be decided by individuals in consultation with the lecturer and the project content should benefit the chosen sport business organisation. Students are expected to implement project management strategies that apply the skills and knowledge gained and further developed during lectures. That is, a communications plan, risk and issues management strategies, task assignments and evaluation plan.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:
  1. Critically review various sport organisation business cases across commercial, private, public, and non-profit entities;  
  2. Analyse and design an innovative project that is a result from the synopsis on the identified case;  
  3. Justify to a specialist audience the relevance and applicability of the proposed project for a targeted sport organisation; and  
  4. Evaluate the professional quality and relevance of projects and the applicability these have to the context for which they have been designed.
