After gaining an internship with one of Australia’s top auto brands, Clifford Fahler used this hands-on industry experience to find a full-time role as a national account analyst.
“I chose Victoria University due to the industry connections, great support staff, and prime location. Industry visits were one of the highlights of my course. We visited Linfox DC, Woolworths DC and Yakult’s manufacturing facility, to name a few.
Through my Bachelor of Business, I undertook a three-year paid internship at one of Australia’s major automotive companies – GM Holden. There, I worked on numerous multi-million dollar projects, including leading the implementation of GM Holden’s lean warehousing system and liaising with GM plants across America, Dubai, Thailand, and Russia.
My course allowed me to hit the ground running. I had all the required knowledge and skills to understand warehousing and logistics terminology while using the Microsoft Office suite and SAP to an advanced level.
In my final year, VU’s career advisers helped me write my résumé and pointed me in the right direction to companies I could apply to. I am now employed as a National Account Analyst for a global transport and supply chain company, CEVA Logistics. Currently I’m working on one of the company’s biggest accounts – the National Broadband Network.”
