Top student and University Medal winner Arlene Sherren is making waves in the business world.
"I've always been entrepreneurial. As a young girl I was intrigued by the creative arts and business, so studying a business degree only made sense.
The business degree at VU was great because I learned key business fundamentals. I understood how I could successfully carry out my business ideas.
I completed a semester in Orange Country, California as part of VU's student exchange program which gave me credit towards my degree. I experienced an international perspective on business models and it was a ton of fun too.
Winning a University Medal was an honour. University Medals are awarded to students who have achieved academic excellence and leadership during their course.
I am now using my business knowledge to help steer my singing career. I have a recording contract with US superstar Jason Derulo."
