Discovering her strengths

I absolutely adore the teachers at Victoria University. Without their support and expertise I would have never been able to achieve the results I have.

Master of Business Analytics

Returning to study as a mature-age student seemed daunting for Era Bhatia, but with the support of her employer, her family and VU lecturers, she is excelling in her Master of Business Analytics. Now Era can’t wait to start the next phase of her career.

“I was considering improving my prospects with further studies, so I began researching courses and careers. I chose business analytics because the subject matter was really interesting, and as an in-demand profession it would enable me to provide for my children.

VU’s partnership with SAP also attracted me, particularly being the only institute teaching the software.

When I enrolled I was apprehensive, but once I started I loved it!

I absolutely adore the teachers at Victoria University. Without their support I would have never been able to achieve the results I have. They’re also experts in their field – I call my teacher, Maria, my guru!

The course recently transitioned to the VU Block Model. It’s been challenging to manage parenting, full-time work and studies, but focusing on one unit at a time in the Block makes it easier to juggle.

It hasn’t been easy, but with the help of my parents, who moved to Australia to support me, and my workplace (Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation) I’m achieving my study and career goals.

I’ll soon be looking for career opportunities in my field and can see myself working as an analytics consultant. I am so excited to think about my future.”
