Study at VU

Bachelor degree courses

There are two main ways to apply for our bachelor degree or honours courses: through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) or directly to Victoria University (VU) using our online Admissions Centre.

The method you use to apply for a course at VU depends on your student status and the course you wish to apply for.

  • If you are a current Year 12 student applying for a course that is listed with VTAC, you must apply through VTAC. Otherwise you may apply direct to VU.
  • If you are not a current Year 12 student, you may apply for your course direct to VU. If you are applying for courses at multiple institutions for commencement in February/March, it is recommended you apply via VTAC (fees apply).

Please check the course page for the correct way to apply and the closing date for applications.

Indigenous opportunities

We encourage Indigenous Australians to apply for any of our courses.

Our Moondani Balluk Academic Unit (Wurundjeri for 'embrace people') provide support and advice to Indigenous Australians wanting to apply for a course at VU, as well as providing current students with an ongoing culturally safe environment.

Contact Moondani Balluk staff to discuss course options, and the range of support services and pastoral care available.

Phone: +61 3 9919 2891 or +61 3 9919 2836

You are also encouraged to submit a Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) Profile Information Form with your course application - this can help with selection for your chosen course.
