Congratulations and wishing all the success to Victoria University’s ten students and alumni competing in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games gets underway 23 July and runs until 8 August 2021, followed by the Paralympics taking place from 24 August to 5 September 2021.

For student Aoife Coughlan (Judo) and recent graduates Gronya Somerville (badminton) and Sergei Evglevski (shooting), this will be their Olympic debut. Emily Rogers (artistic swimming), Liam Adams (marathon) David Powell (table tennis) and Azizul Awang all return to the Olympic stage to represent their country.

Multi Paralympic Games medallists and VU alumni Dani Di Toro (para-table tennis), Todd Hodgetts OAM (para-athletics) and Josh Hose OAM (wheelchair-rugby) are highly experienced and successful campaigners with Tokyo making 13 Paralympic Games between them.
