Your Next Steps program

Now that you have almost completed your studies, why not celebrate your achievements with other international students at the 'Your Next Steps' program. 

The event features a celebration lunch and four programs that include information about:

• going home
• your options for permanent residency
• IELTS preparation workshop

Registration (10AM - 11.55AM)

Following a formal congratulation message, this session includes information about applying to graduate and joining the VU alumni. You will also receive a booklet with more useful information.

Program 1 - Going home (10.55AM - 1PM)

This start of the session will focus on getting your things home where you'll hear from a representative from a freight company. The remainder of the session will address some of the challenges of re-adjusting when you return home.

Lunch - Celebrating your success (1PM - 2PM)

Celebrate the completion of your course with the ISS team and your family and friends during lunch
at the Footscray Park campus, VU Bar, Building M.

Program 2 - Your options for permanent residency

A representative from the Department of Immigration and Citizenship will address issues on General Skilled Migration (GSM).

Program 3 - IELTS preparation workshop

You will learn ways to improve your IELTS results and better prepare yourself if you plan on taking this test as a component of your GSM.
