VU Careers Fair another success

On Friday 12 March 2010 Victoria University hosted more than 50 potential employers at its annual Careers Fair. This proves that despite the lingering global economic crisis, the job market remains solid in many sectors for university graduates.
More than 1300 Victoria University students attended the annual event, held at Footscray Park Campus. There were 51 organisations represented, with recruiters available to speak with VU students and VU staff. These organisations ranged from banks and confectionery companies to government agencies. They included the Australian Tax Office, Defence Force Recruiting, Ernst & Young, Maribyrnong Council, NAB, Westpac, Australian Secret Intelligence Service, VicRoads, Thiess, Melbourne Citymission and Mars Australia.
Many were recruiting for their graduate programs, which generally start in 2011. The VU Careers Fair is an exceptional opportunity for organisations to showcase themselves to hundreds of current students and soon-to-be graduates.
