Tickled pink by fundraising event

Victoria University raised $9000 for the Cancer Council when students and staff turned pink on 10 October. The Pink Ribbon Day fundraiser was held to raise awareness for breast and gynaecological cancer.

Our Footscray Park campus was transformed into a pink wonderland. There were competitions for the best dressed, pink food and pink auction items. Everything on the day was donated and we are incredibly grateful for all of our sponsors.

Highlights from the day:

  • our best dressed - Jim Eaton and Leonie Nott
  • delicious lamingtons - which alone raised $1256.70
  • the pink Cadillac
  • bidding in the Silent Auction - amazing prizes were donated and $5000 was raised.
