After a successful study tour in 2011, ten TAFE students will once again represent Victoria University on a 12 day study tour of ITE (Institute of Technical Education) Singapore.
Heading over on 27 August, the 2012 group is made up of five children's services and five sport and fitness students. The study tour presents a fabulous opportunity for students who would not otherwise participate in overseas cultural exchange to do so.
The five Diploma of Children's Services (Early Childhood Education and Care) students will undertake placement at Mind Champs, an international award winning institute that focuses on early childhood learning. Other activities will include visits to childcare centres and participation in ITE classes.
Sport and fitness students will undertake their placement at the Singapore National Games. They will be volunteering at the Badminton, Sepak Takraw (Kick Volleyball) and Dragon Boat Racing. They will also visit community sport and recreation clubs, outdoor recreation facilities and participation in ITE College classes.
