
The Overland Victoria University Short Story Prize for New and Emerging Writers is now open until midnight 31st August. The competition continues Overland's tradition of encouraging new and emerging writers.
Prizes
First place takes home a $6000 prize while the two runner-up prizes earn $1000 each.
Winners will be announced in Overland 209, summer 2012.
How to enter
The prizes are for original pieces of short fiction written in English, up to 3000 words in length.
It is Free for all Victoria University students to enter - simply add your student number to your entry.

Who the Judges are
This year, writer and academic Enza Gandolfo, Overland editors Jeff Sparrow and Jacinda Woodhead, and writer and new Overland fiction editor Jennifer Mills will be judging the competition.
Successful entries may also be published in future editions of Overland literary journal.
