Middle-aged males are wanted to participate to a unique research study investigating the effects of physical activity on the prevention of diabetes.
PhD Candidate Fabio Serpiello is looking for participants who are:
- Aged 35-55 years
- Sedentary (less than 2 hours of physical activity per week)
Individuals are not eligible if they:
- Have a diagnosed diabetes
- Have suffered major cardiac problems (for example, acute myocardial infarction)
Participants will receive free blood testing and screening for diabetes, and 8 weeks of supervised training. Blood and muscle samples will be taken during three trials.
All aspects of the study, including the results, will be strictly confidential and only the researchers will have access to information on participants.
All testing and training session will be conducted at Footscray Park Campus
