Donate your old football boots and help disadvantaged youth

Do you have old football boots just lying around your house collecting dust and taking up space? Well, we have the perfect solution for you to clear out your unused boots while contributing to an extremely worthy cause.

In April, Victoria University will host thirteen students and staff members from Centralian Middle School located in Alice Springs. The students, here on a leadership camp, are set to undertake a tour of the Victoria University's facilities, visit Whitten Oval, take part in a football clinic and listen to a presentation by one of the young Indigenous players from the Western Bulldogs.

Around 75% of the students from Centralian Middle School identify as Indigenous. The young people in Alice Springs are football mad, but often cannot afford to pay for football boots which allow them to participate like everyone else. This is where we ask for your contribution of any old football boots, still in reasonable condition so that the students will be able to take back home to Alice Springs and distribute to others less fortunate in their community.

You can drop off old boots at Victoria University in the bins provided at the following locations:

  • Footscray Park Campus – Building M, Level 1, Cafeteria
  • St Albans Campus – Building 4N, Level 1, Cafeteria
  • Footscray Nicholson – Building T, Level 1, Cafeteria
  • Sunshine – Building E, Cafeteria
