Our international research scholarships support the best research, and help students with excellent academic qualifications wishing to undertake postgraduate research programs with us.
We award these scholarships for academic merit, and grant them to applicants with outstanding academic results. For more information please refer to the 2013 Scholarship Guide for International Students.
Victoria University International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (VUIPRS)
Applications for our International Postgraduate Research Scholarships are now open. These postgraduate research degree scholarships are targeted to our research strengths and we consider applicants with projects and academic backgrounds strongly aligned to those strengths.
If you are applying for a VUIPRS you will need to submit two separate applications:
- Applicants must first submit a Scholarship application to the Admissions and Scholarships Coordinator in the Office of Postgraduate Research.
- Applicants then need to apply through the Victoria University International online application system. Please make sure you identify yourself as a Victoria University International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (VUIPRS) applicant.
The main VU scholarship round for Australian and international applicants opens in August and closes in late October. The mid-year scholarship opens in April and closes at the end of May.
The deadline for semester one 2013 entry applications is 26 October, 2012.
The Office for Postgraduate Research will notify you if have been successful.
International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS)
The Australian Government funds the International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) scheme. It supports international postgraduate students in areas of research focus, in Australian higher education institutions.
Follow the same application procedure as for the VUIPRS if you are interested in applying for an IPRS.
