VU brings employers to job-hunting students
Victoria University will bring together more than 60 potential employers at the VU Careers Fair, proving that despite the global economic crisis, the job market remains solid in many sectors for university graduates.
Journalists and photographers are welcome to attend.
Organisations sending recruiters to talk face-to-face with students and VU teachers range from banks to accounting firms, to government agencies. They include Australia Post, the Department of Immigration and Citizenship, the City of Wyndham, Ernst and Young, National Australia Bank, Australian Secret Intelligence Service, City West Water, and Coles.
The organisations will provide recruiting information about their graduates programs, most of which start in April and May.
The Careers Fair will be accompanied by workshops advising students how to best approach their preferred employers and impress their future boss, and information about demystifying the job application process.
