The Victoria and the Asian Century Conference to be held on August 8-9 2013 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, will examine the opportunities and challenges facing Victoria in the Asian Century.
It will explore how industry and government can work together to build stronger relationships across the region, including closer educational, cultural and people-to-people links.

Renowned economist Dr Ken Henry AC; Mr Sid Myer AM, Chairman of Asialink; and Mr John Garnaut, Fairfax Media's China correspondent, will speak at the event, and will be joined by a team of leading commentators to discuss key questions about what does the rise of Asia mean for Victoria's economy, society and strategic environment?
Topics include: tertiary education in the Asian Century; creating sustainable and liveable cities; engaging with Asia in business opportunities; and capabilities for Victoria and the Asian Century.
