Victoria University will confer honorary degrees upon two leading Melbourne figures at ceremonies next week.
The founder of international logistics company Linfox, Mr Lindsay Fox AC, will receive his Doctorate of the University, Honoris Causa, at a graduation ceremony on Thursday, 3 June at Flemington Racecourse from 2.20pm.
Mr Ken Latta PSM, the chair of Harness Racing Victoria and former CEO of the Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services Board, will also receive a Doctorate of the University, Honoris Causa, at a ceremony from 2.20pm on Tuesday, 1 June.

NB: Both participants will be available for interview, photographs and footage in their academic gowns between 2.20-2.40pm. Ceremony commences 3pm. A media splitter box is available.
Mr Fox is being honoured for his outstanding achievements in the transport and logistics industry, his contribution to the community though his sustained efforts to reduce unemployment across Australia and for his campaigning against youth suicide.
Mr Latta's degree is in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the vocational education sector and for his advocacy on behalf of the western region of Melbourne, in particular his role in the development of Victoria University. He is a former member of the Council of the University.
