Vietnamese contributions to Australia

This event has already taken place.

Tuesday 21 April 2015

The next ‘Game Changers’ public discussion will focus on how Vietnamese settlement has changed the face of Footscray and Australia.

The settlement of the Vietnamese in Australia some 40 years ago has been widely regarded as one of the greatest tests of Australia’s multiculturalism policy. It's also evidence of this country’s compassionate, caring and responsible response.

Hear Phong Nguyen, former chair of the Ethnic Communities Council of Victoria and president of the Vietnamese Community in Australia, tell the story of the heartbreak, resilience and hopes of the Vietnamese community.
