VCE chemistry practicals

VU is offering chemistry practicals to VCE students at our Footscray Park Campus and Werribee Campus.
These hands-on activities will allow students to explore the use of modern instrumentation for chemical analysis and molecular structure determination.
Students will prepare samples for analysis and use instruments to arrive at a conclusion by conducting the necessary calibration and calculation activities.
Teachers may choose two of the techniques listed below for their students to undertake the chemical analysis.
- Liquid and gas chromatography
- IR and UV/Vis spectrophotometry
- Atomic absorption spectrophotometry.
