Narrative approaches to research projects by Prof Mary Beattie

This event has already taken place.

Friday 12 April 2013

Professor Pat Drake, Dean, College of Education, invites you to attend the first seminar in the 2013 Diamond Series.

Presented by Professor Emeritus Mary Beattie, the seminar - Creating Narrative, Collaborative Research Projects in Communities: The Possibilities and the Challenges - will focus on the possibilities and challenges of collaborative, narrative research in communities. Professor Beattie will outline ways in which this kind of research can be mutually beneficial for researchers and community members - it can be transformative for the individuals who engage in it and for the communities in which they live and learn.

The seminar will be held in the Performance Space of the Footscray Community Arts Centre, followed by light refreshments in the adjoining gallery.
