In 2008 the financial crisis shook the world economy, and continues into 2009. New information can help understand the crisis and its future course, and the role of policies. Key issues addressed will be the impact on the USA and Europe, the effectiveness of President Obama’s policies and the affects on China, India and the region? For Australia, questions discussed are do we face a major recession or a temporary slowdown and what climate policy should Australia now follow?
