The Learning Through Teaching Mentoring Program (LTTP) is designed for early career teaching staff and research graduates aspiring to enter academia.

The program will give you the opportunity to work alongside a seasoned academic.

You'll explore aspects of good teaching and learning and have the opportunity to connect with members of the VU community.

About the program

The mentoring program is based on a model that integrates group workshops with a series of mentor-mentee only discussion and activities.

You'll explore issues around:

  • student assessment and feedback
  • academic and intercultural literacies.

Participants find that these important discussions support deep level professional teaching understandings.

"VU research degree students are keen to learn – learn about learning, learn about teaching, learn about working with the rich diversity that is in each classroom.

And VU academics are so giving, so committed to ensuring that our students are given the best opportunity to succeed. This program puts the two groups together – the end result is magic."

- Dr Teresa De Fazio, LTTP leader.
