2023 IBILTA CONFERENCE

Hosted online

2-3 February 2023

IBILTA was launched on August 26, 2022. As promised we are now very pleased to announce the Inaugural International Block and Intensive Learning and Teaching Association Conference.

This conference is for all block and intensive teaching educators, and those wanting to learn about block and intensive teaching to share ideas, experiences and research. There will be opportunities to exchange teaching/learning pedagogies and innovations in student engagement strategies. IBILTA welcomes everyone with an interest in block and intensive learning, teaching and administration.

CALL FOR PAPERS OPEN

You are cordially invited to submit an abstract for consideration to the inaugural IBILTA conference (online) in February 2023.

Submit your abstract via the link, and follow the guidelines below when making your submission.

The annual IBILTA conference will offer those involved in teaching, learning, and administration on the block and other intensive formats an opportunity to come together in a community of practice to connect, to share experiences and new ideas.

IBILTA is the global hub for tertiary and other educators committed to investigating and furthering research into block and intensive formats. IBILTA began as a conversation between faculty at block and intensive-based institutions in Australia, North America and China. Although geographically disparate we found ourselves on similar journeys in terms of pedagogy, experience, discoveries and issues. As the conversation grew, so did the desire to reach out to others treading the same path by seeking to:

  1. advance scholarship and practice in block and intensive-mode pedagogy, education and research;
  2. share and disseminate block and intensive-mode education knowledge and practice;
  3. build networks and promote greater collaboration between the association's Members and its various stakeholders and alliance partners.
