Hot desks & wifi

A number of hot desks are available at no cost for anyone living, working or studying in Footscray. Desks are available during VU at MetroWest opening hours. 

Three of the desks have laptops and the other desks allow you to bring your own laptop or device. We'll provide a powerpoint and internet connection, as well as complimentary tea and coffee.

Fresh Student Media

Fresh Student Media is a fun and energetic student-run media organisation that operates:

Hatch Studio MetroWest

The Hatch Studio MetroWest, previously known as the VU Design Studio, offers a work environment for final year graphic design students.

Students produce commercial work for internal and external clients, working with the client to the end product.

Psychology Clinic

The VU Psychology Clinic provides discounted psychological services to people in the west of Melbourne.

Location: The clinic is located at the rear of the VU at MetroWest space. Enter the Psychology clinic via 47 Paisley Street Footscray.

Skills & Jobs Centre - VU Polytechnic

The VU Polytechnic Skills and Jobs Centre provides prospective students and employers with free advice on training, job opportunities and links to other services available to help improve skills, careers and the workforce.

The centre can be a starting point for:

  • prospective students looking to begin training
  • workers needing to reskill
  • unemployed workers needing support for retraining and work placement
  • employers looking to upskill their workforce or assist with vacancies.
