V4U Day 2020 – Victoria University.

V4U Day is VU’s largest community volunteering event year, with students, alumni and staff taking part in volunteering activities across Melbourne’s west.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions in Victoria, V4U Day 2020 was delivered remotely with volunteers participating from home.

What we've done today is definitely we're going to end up putting the smile on so many people's faces. But we were writing letters to the elderly, so really important thing – like was it – because we're reaching out and touching people, you know, that are in isolation, probably worse isolation than us.

So we made 139 phone calls. And there were only five of us in our group. And one of my group members was actually caring for two kids at the same time as making the phone calls. So she made around 28 phone calls whilst looking after her kids, so I am so amazed by her work.
