Residential care is a high demand area that is growing fast in Australia. During this course you will undertake three mandatory units required to work in the sector, as determined by the Department of Health and Human Services.
You will gain knowledge of:
- facilitating responsible behaviour
- working effectively in trauma informed care
- providing primary residential care
In order to be issued a Statement of Attainment for the unit(s) of competency, within the VET Non-Award Course TNAAV Residential Care Top Up Skills, a student must successfully undertake the following unit(s):
Recognition of Prior Learning and/or Credit Transfers
Previous completion of units at the Polytechnic or any other Registered Training Organisation and/or previous attainment of skills and knowledge may be credited towards this course. Units must satisfy the completion rules of the qualification and be assessed as appropriate by the Polytechnic.
