Vice President Planning & Registrar
Teresa is a senior executive with over 20 years of management experience in higher education, scientific research and community sectors.
She joined Victoria University in October 2013 following previous roles as Director of Student Administration and Deputy Academic Registrar at the University of Melbourne. Other roles she has held include Faculty General Manager (Melbourne School of Land and Environment), Project Manager (Vice-Chancellor’s Office) and CEO of the University of Melbourne Postgraduate Association. She also serves on a number of community boards and organisations.
Teresa holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) and a Master of Science from the University of Western Australia. She has completed an Executive Education program at the Harvard Kennedy School. Teresa brings significant experience delivering innovative student programs and award-winning services to the position and is an active member of key professional associations.
Teresa was Academic Registrar at Victoria University from 2013 to 2015 and Registrar - Student Services and Institutional Planning & Performance in 2016. During that time Teresa oversaw the establishment of Student Services as an integrated, shared service across VU, including the improvement of online and face-to-face student services.
The Vice President Planning and Registrar oversees institutional planning and governance. The portfolio provides analysis, advice and services to ensure the university meets its regulatory obligations and enables the senior leadership team to plan and monitor its strategic and operational goals. Teresa is also the university Incident Controller and is the first point of contact for critical incidents involving Victoria University.
