
Number of Australia's vulnerable children is set to double as COVID-19 takes its toll
Three quarters of a million Australian children are likely to be experiencing employment stress in the family as a result of COVID-19.
Mr Macklin is passionate about the power of education in supporting a more equitable and productive society. He has extensive knowledge of school education policy as well as children and young people’s outcomes, built through roles in strategic policy, research and performance reporting.
His current research is focused on innovative models of teaching and learning in schools that better enable students to build the skills, capabilities and dispositions they’ll need to live fulfilling lives and thrive in their future endeavours.
He holds a Master of Public Policy and Management and a Bachelor of Journalism.
