Robyn has worked in the university sector for over 15 years. She possesses both a strong background in university research management and administration, and substantial educational research experience.
Prior to taking on the Centre Manager role, Robyn worked as a researcher in CIRES and its predecessor at the University of Melbourne (CRES) for six years. During this time, she contributed to a range of research projects, including reviews of the school funding models used in a number of states and territories of Australia, and CIRES’ flagship research project, the International Study of City Youth. This provided her with a thorough understanding of the Centre’s business, and familiarity with the various qualitative and quantitative research approaches used across the Centre’s projects.
Previously, Robyn held a number of different research management and administration roles at the University of Melbourne. She worked in both central university and faculty-based research offices, affording her considerable experience in applying for research funding, negotiation of research-related agreements, university systems, development and implementation of university policies and procedures, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
