Professor Kevin McDonald
Adjunct Fellow, Centre for Cultural Diversity and Wellbeing
Kevin McDonald is a sociologist who has held appointments at the University of Melbourne, RMIT University, Goldsmiths College in London and the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris.
He has a strong practice of theoretically driven fieldwork-based research, and recently completed a Marie Curie International Fellowship in the United Kingdom and is currently completing an ARC-funded study into Muslim activism involving fieldwork in Spain, the United Kingdom and Australia. He is actively engaged in international research networks, and is also a facilitator with the Iraq Program of the Council for Assisting Refugee Academics.
His forthcoming work, Social Movements in the 21st Century, is scheduled for publishing by Polity Press in 2013.
