Postdoctoral Research Officer, Institute of Sport, Exercise & Active Living (ISEAL)
Alessandra Ferri is a Postdoctoral Research Officer at ISEAL. Prior to joining VU, she was Lecturer in Human Physiology at the Department of Health Sciences in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Milano-Bicocca (Italy).
Her principle areas of research are:
- the physiology and pathophysiology of the O2 delivery – O2 utilisation system
- exercise and ageing
- muscle metabolism in special environments (e.g., hypoxia).
