Come our free lunchtime seminar to hear Professor Kathy Laster, director of the Sir Zelman Cowan Centre, talk about women's relationship with the law.

The final Feminist Research Network lunchtime seminar for 2017 will be held on Wednesday 29 November at Footscray Park Campus.

Professor Laster's talk will encompass aspects of women’s historical relationship with the law with respect to issues such as infanticide, and women’s reproductive rights.

This event is part of the 16 days of activism program.

Guest speaker: Professor Kathy Laster

Professor Laster has been widely published within the fields of criminology, legal history, and gender and multiculturalism in relation to the law.

Her primary role is to provide strategic direction and management for the Sir Zelman Cowan Centre, both in terms of securing funds and client relations.

Her many publications and extensive work in the legal sector have been influential in the promotion of access and equity within the legal system.
