Strategic partnerships and collaboration
We develop and maintain strategic alliances within VU and with Australian and international researchers and research centres.
This is achieved through research and consultancy collaboration, co-supervision of research higher degree students and the joint production of publications.
We establish new relationships and strengthen our existing networks with key vocational education and training organisations, industry, government, and other providers of vocational and work-based education.
Strategic internal and external alliances are maintained around each research focus of the Centre, which builds relevance and practicality for its research and development activities, as well as maximising its impact on changing policy and/or practice.
The goal of these relationships is to:
- identify collaborative research opportunities in areas of specific interests to WERC, VU and the broader vocational and work-based education sector
- seek sources of funding for the conduct of research and consultancy activities
- utilise the opportunities offered by collaborative research and consultancy activities to build the research experience of VU staff and students
- jointly present and publish in key conferences and journals, in Australia and internationally
