VU20913 - Apply basic fabrication techniques
Overview
This unit of competency sets out the knowledge and skills required to perform basic fabrication tasks under supervision. This involves using appropriate machinery and applying associated fabrication and assembly techniques to the fabrications process.

The evidence on which competency in this unit is deemed should demonstrate consistence performance.
A representative body of performance criteria demonstrated within the timeframes typically expected of the discipline, work function and industrial environment. In particular this shall incorporate evidence that shows a candidate is able to: Implement Occupational Health and Safety workplace procedures and practices including the use of risk control measures as specified in the performance criteria and range; Demonstrate essential knowledge and associated skills as described in this unit; Demonstrate an appropriate level of skills enabling employment.
Assessments may include:

• written and verbal tasks.
