Office for Postgraduate Research
The Office for Postgraduate Research oversees the conduct of research degrees and associated programs to support and guide research students. We work closely with VU's higher education faculties, research centres and institutes in providing a range of services and training and support activities for research students and supervisors.
Our objective is that VU is known as an institution where research students experience supervision that is both supportive and challenging, and where administrative procedures effectively guide and support both students and supervisors. VU has committed itself to developing a robust and active research community, and our timely completions and levels of student satisfaction are consistently strong.
We have negotiated an arrangement that will enable selected VU research students to be supported financially to undertake a Graduate Certificate in Commercialisation for Research Students at the Melbourne Business School as part of your overall VU research skill development program. This initiative is being funded by the Australian government through its Commercialisation Training Scheme (CTS) to provide high quality research commercialisation training for the next generation of Australian researchers.
