Welcome to Victoria University and the St Albans campus! At orientation you will be heading to course info sessions, exploring your campus, getting involved in some cool activities. Everything is free so come along and have a great day!

Get tech savvy. Set up your login details and your student email. Check out the VU website and get tips on using the Library site and resources. Finally, find out what WebCT is. Bookings are essential.

A 3-hour introduction to University life, with a particular focus on academic and study skills. This workshop will familiarise you with the University setting, explaining in some detail what is expected of you as a student, which study skills you’ll need to harness, and how academic writing, assessments and feedback can work for you! Bookings are essential.

Take a quick tour of the library. We’ll show you the library services: borrowing, basic catalogue, basic IT and copy services.

Make new friends and meet people with similar interests by joining a Club or Society! These session will tell you all about Victoria University’s range of clubs and how you can join or start your own club.
Funding and resources are fully available for clubs to run projects and events.

VUSU is the student voice! VUSU makes sure your voice is heard by the University, Government and the general community. VUSU is focused on upholding the principles of equal opportunity, diversity and quality education. VUSU also runs a number of events and activities for VU students including the annual ball, trips and tours, o-night party and a boat cruise.

Find out how Student Welfare can help you balance life and study commitments. We provide information and advice on dealing with Centrelink, assistance in getting a Start Up Scholarship from Centrelink, tips on managing money, dealing with credit cards, utility bills and fines.
We’ll also let you know how to access external agencies such as legal, housing and consumer rights.

If you still need to find housing or need tenancy information and advice, we have a full range of resources to help you. Using an iPad at our display you will be able to search the Student Housing Database for rooms or properties to rent off-campus.
