Senior appointments
The University has made a number of senior appointments over the past few months. Professor Hans Westerbeek has joined us as the inaugural Director of the Institute of Sport, Exercise and Active Living (ISEAL). Professor Westerbeek was previously Chair of Sport Management at La Trobe University and held a fractional appointment in the same role at the Free University of Brussels in Belgium.
Engineering lecturer and researcher Professor Graham Thorpe has a new role as Director of the Centre for Environmental Safety and Risk Engineering (CESARE).
Grant Dreher joins us as Executive Director of the Faculty of Workforce Development.
There have been two senior appointments in the Faculty of Technical and Trades Innovation. Andrew Williamson is the new Associate Director of Industry and Innovation and Kath Curry is Associate Director of Quality and Capability.
In the research portfolio, Dr Glenn Maloney has come on board as Associate Director e-Research.
