Applications open for CGE PhD scholarships

Applications are now open for the 2016 Centre of Policy Studies Top-Up Scholarship.

The Centre of Policy Studies will award one scholarship of AU$15,000 to a qualified student studying towards a PhD in Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) modelling at the Centre of Policy Studies in Melbourne, Australia. The $15,000 is in addition to the graduate research scholarship awarded in the 2016 round.

Eligibility

This competitive scholarship is available to students who:

  • have a first-class Honours degree in Economics (or equivalent);
  • have been accepted into the PhD program in Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) modelling at the Centre of Policy Studies in Melbourne, Australia; and
  • have been awarded an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) or International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) in the Victoria University 2016 Graduate Research Scholarship round.

The award may be held for a maximum of three years for a Doctoral program.

Application process

Students interested in applying for the Centre of Policy Studies Top-Up Scholarship must first follow the steps to apply for a Graduate Research Scholarship.

To indicate you're also applying for the Top-Up Scholarship, the supervisor you nominate on your graduate scholarship application form must be approved by Professor Glyn Wittwer.

Deadlines

Applications for Graduate Research Scholarships must be submitted by the following deadlines:

Deadline for international students: 30 September 2015
Deadline for domestic students: 30 October 2015
