The Research Ambassadors will run the following mini-workshops:
Make the most of VU services as a Research Student
In this mini-workshop for new research students and continuing research students wanting an update, a Research Ambassador will discuss:
- Internet Usage and quota, ITS service requests and software for students
- Library account access, library services for researchers (library training classes, Document Request service and Research Repository)
- VU Graduate Research Centre training programs
- other supports (writing support, Research design and statistical support service, Secomb travel fund, Forms & guidelines, VU Career hub, etc.)
An e-copy of the presentation (with links for future reference) will be provided.
When and where: Wednesday 13 May, 11am-12pm, Footscray Park Library Training Room P213.

Formatting your thesis
Just written a chapter or about to submit your thesis? A Research Ambassador can help with formatting:
- Set up list levels and headings in Word to easily create a table of contents
- Create captions and cross-references for figures, tables, equations
- Use captions to quickly create list of figures or list of tables
- Manage multiple chapters by using Master and sub-documents in Word
