Queering the air: panel discussion on contemporary LGBTQIA issues

Come along to this free public forum where 5 panellists will discuss contemporary LGBTQIA issues within society.

Our panellist will respond to any questions submitted by people previously or any questions audience members may raise to be answered on the night.

The five major areas this event will be focusing on are:

• gender binary
• welfare
• students
• youth
• culture.

This forum will be relaxed with food, drink and entertainment provided.

Everyone is welcome to attend and including those who want to educate themselves about the LGBTQIA and Gender Diverse community.

About VU Pride

VU Pride recognises there is a range of sexualities and genders at Victoria University and we aim to celebrate such diversity.

VU Pride plans to combat negative attitudes towards LGBTQIA people at Victoria University by creating support networks between LGBTQIA people and straight identifying students. We also aim to create a socially inclusive environment which helps generate unity among all students.

Venue

The event will be held at VU at Metrowest. 

VU at MetroWest is a new Victoria University facility in the heart of Footscray - part of VU's commitment to Footscray as a University Town. It's a buzzing hub available to the community as well as VU students and staff.
